More arrogant babble from Americans who think they have any right to judge
another country . Unless you live there, and know the man personally, then
just mind your own business. America has got to stop sticking its nose in
everyone’s business. Are they seriously saying that many of our leaders are
better? and not corrupt? We have no room to talk or judge anyone else at
this point. We are just as fucked up !

Well, Chavez did judge the US a lot, so why shouldn’t people judge him.

politicalarticles. I’m as liberal as they come, but I also lived in
Venezuela (before and after Chavez) and can tell you your video description
is off, by a lot. Mr. Chavez did say some nice things but actually carried
out very few of them. First, he didn’t break Venezuela out of America’s
“imperial orbit”. The US is still the main buyer of Venezuelan oil. He did
some things for the poor, but the economy is terrible over there. They have
the highest inflation rate in the hemisphere…

  4. jezmundberserker says:

… crime rates are insane, he closed over 70 radio and TV stations for
uncovering rampant government corruption, and publishing the actual crime
and inflation statistics. He did increase the number of colectives and
unions but if you did not belong to the PSUV (Partido Unico Socialista de
Venezuela) you could not even get an f*ing loan or any government program.
I was also there on Feb 24 and Nov 27, 1992, when Chavez and his comrades
in arms killed over 100 people in a military coup atenmpt…

  5. jezmundberserker says:

… he was spot on in his description of Bush, I’ll give him that. But
believe me, it’s a case of the pot calling the kettle black. Of course Bush
was very interested in Venezuela’s oil, but Chavez was interested in
wasting most of the royalties in buying weapons and giving free oil to Cuba
(something a lot of Venezuelans resented). Also, there’s the thing about
his relatives getting cabinet positions and gerrymandering districts so
they could win gubernatorial and national assembly races.

  6. jezmundberserker says:

Let’s not forget also that he rewrote the entire Constitution in order to
be able to do as he pleased and to be elected as many times as possible.
There was no balance of power and he controlled all branches of the
government. You or I might like what he used to say, but his actions were
deplorable. I did not support the coup attempt against him, but I didn’t
support his coup attempt either. Remember, he was responsible for the
deaths of over 100 of his fellow Venezuelans.

Sorry for all the posts, but I tried to list a few facts to back up my
claim that while he was a colorful character and was right from time to
time in what he said, he was not a good person and did not have his
country’s best interests in mind. Take care and keep up the good work with
your videos. I watch them daily.
