first of all the demonrat president roosevelt initiated it as a voluntary system; soon after it was mandatory. i attempted several times to get out of it, but i finally ended up old enough to start collecting. I know all about pyramids and this is not a pyramid, it is a blatant rip off. Now the people in power have used the peoples money to fund freebies for the free loaders. I am now living on the national debt, how much longer it will last is only a guess. I would like a lump sum payment!

without a mortgage I would bet that 95% of Americans would never be able to own a home and thus be stuck paying rent 50% higher than what a mortgage payment would be. I paid off my 30 year mortgage in 11 years. My home’s market value is now 300% higher than when I took out my mortgage. There is nothing wrong with a mortgage as long as your loan is within your means. Just imagine how few doctors and nurses there would be if not for a college loan
The real answer is painful.Both D & R take money from one group and give it to another. What is really insane is that we try to buy friendship all over the world. Screw all other countries. Why borrow from China to give money to Egypt, Pakistan, Brazil etc. We should pay ourselves first. Stop all spending except that which is crucial.Cut all programs across board by 7%.
