Cool speech. I think for all the yammering people do about how useless
space exploration is, it will be inevitable. If not the US then another
country will pioneer it. I think it is unlikely the US will pass on the
challenge though – the military implications alone would grant amazing
power to the US. Science rides on the wings of war, so after the dust
clears and we are done killing each other with our new toys, they can be
re-purposed for science and we can see a new and exciting space age.

This man has the natural ability to get people’s attention, and share his
passion about science in general, and his field of science in particular. I
just love NdGT. Huge respect from France.

Nasa isn’t only an entity of advancement for the U.S. but a symbol of the
accomplishments of all of mankind and it has imprinted itself on the
popular culture of pretty much every society worldwide. It feels to me like
America has become complacent and bored with the best story ever written
and one that never ends. My hope is that we can start looking outward again
and feel passion for exploration again and stop being shut-ins and meet our
    neighbors.

“Copperkipper1” You IDIOT! We can’t go to the Moon because of funding! Not
because its just hard. We CAN go there and we SHOULD! We’ve went there in
’69! But we don’t because we lost interest in science(As it seems you did a
    looong time ago.)!
