Chrysler’s Popular “It’s Halftime in America” With Clint Eastwood a Hit

As the dust from Super Bowl XLVI settles, fans are taking to the Internet to debate who won. Yes, the New York Giants, but more importantly, who scored the best commercial? Despite costing around .5 million for 30 seconds of airtime, many are complaining this year?s ad showing was lackluster. But Chrysler’s ?It’s Halftime in America,? voiced by Clint Eastwood and touting Detroit’s rebound from financial ruin, is drawing praise. A sort of follow-up to last year’s “Born of Fire” ad featuring Eminem, which was viewed over 20 million times on YouTube, “Halftime in America” uses Chrysler’s rebound as a pep-talk for America’s economy. After nearly collapsing in 2008, Chrysler was rescued as part of a .5 billion bailout headed up by the White House. “This country can’t be knocked out with one punch,” Eastwood said. “It’s halftime America. And our second half’s about to begin.” Hopefully the second-half of America?s big economic game won?t be as much of a nail-biter.

ARE U LISTENING? Obama is citing budget concerns to cut our troops on the border is beyond cynical.

Last yr when Obama was questioned about Tens Of BILLIONS of dollars NOT accounted for His Reply Was! When we’re spending HUNDREDS of BILLIONS of dollars we can’t be expected to account for a few billion ! I bet those “few billions” would really go a long way towards paying the salary for quite a few additional troops. I can’t WAIT till NOV… this guy has Got To Go!

Ha… I find your comment about my being a nut interesting. I dont vote for, I vote against We should be long past applauding politicians of any party, they got us into this mess. The best deserve a probationary opportunity to prove themselves, the worst should be in jail ! Politicians are, by nature, liars. A billion here & there adds up to real $. Bad, stupid gutless policies have real consequence. Politicians, like diapers, should be changed often & for the same reasons..

Your attack on me is typical of some one who knows little about politics. Politics creates hate & anger in people. It’s inherently civil war.Since the State is based on coercion & threat of violence, so is politics. Politics is about nothing more than who gets to apply how much violence to people. Politics sets people at war with each other. Politics also makes people paranoid, b/cthey always think if the opposing party gets into power, they’ll do terrible things to them

This is a really moving message to Americans. I urge everyone to pull together and stop all of the partisan bickering. Let’s try respect and compromise for a change!

He’s on a mission to destroy America. He wants the U.S.A. to have no borders. Let anything in here, so he can get re-elected with illegal votes. He wants to steal the election again. I got news for all of you, the state of Georgia has blocked him from being on the 2012 national election. We need half the states or more to do the same. Then we win. And the will of the people can rebuild the country, and put 300k troops on the border, and declare open season.

There is no freedom speech anymore, you tube blocks 90% of my thoughts.

It’s the beginning of the game and we have a new quarterback, and he keeps fumbling the ball on the snap, over & over again. Or he hands the ball off to this old player named dirty harry and he runs the other way and scores for the other team, over & over again. Now do you get the picture.

  8. nikkiru2u says:

Yeah. But we voted Bush out, so why keep harping on it?

  9. nikkiru2u says:

Now, imagine if this ad was done with the Chrysler CEO instead. Would you have half the reaction you have now? No, you wouldn’t.

This just shows that nobody’s paying attention to the actual problem. Instead, it’s Dirty Harry jokes and trolls cutting each other down online.

It’s halftime America and it’s time to put another coach in… Come on Clint the only reason American Auto makers are not competitive is because of legacy costs. The average union auto worker costs about $105 an hour… ridiculous!

  13. bdr1976 says:

    Not competitive? Ummm…

Obama is taking a wrecking ball to our society. Americans love our country, its institutions. They rever the Constitution & the Declaration of Independence. Obama’s peddling something foreign. Dragging us into a soft tyranny! What are the limits on power of the presidency ? This is a real, live imperial president, who wants to dictate light bulbs, what medicines you get, student loans, credit card interest rates. He doesn’t have the constitutional authority to do this .

  21. LIBERTYALONE says:

RON PAUL IS THE CLINT EASTWOOD OF POLITICS …

  22. onstageagain says:

Unless something extraordinarily dramatic comes along to change the course of the US economy & the sentiments of the American people in the next 6mo’s, Obama is finished.

I’d like to think voters aren’t stupid enough to re-elect a president with numbers at present lows. but with many people still invested in making the first black president a success, who knows what illerate voters will do.

I have a Dodge Ram Diesel Truck that was made in Mexico, Let me say this again, MY TRUCK WAS MADE IN MEXICO, this is not helping our economy in any way!
