A Roadmap for America’s Future – Paul Ryan talks w/ Greta Van Susteren

www.americanroadmap.org The actual bill, full legislation, scored by the Congressional Budget Office as paying down the debt, increasing living standards, making Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security permanently solvent. I’ve shown exactly how I would propose to do it. My goal for doing this was not to say, “I’ve got it all figured out.” My goal for putting this plan out there is to get other people in Congress to come up with their ideas so we can get down to the business of collaborating and figure out how to fix this mess we’re in. We’re going to have a European-style debt crisis if we don’t watch ourselves. My point is let’s get ahead of it – stop it from happening and do it on our terms – instead of having this austerity plan where you cut seniors’ current benefits, or raise taxes to hurt the economy like they’re doing in Europe today.

Um, I do believe Jack Ryan wasn’t the President in Clancy novels..

  2. IWLocal8 says:

LMAO The TEA baggers are funded by Americans For Prosperity! Can’t get musch more pro-corporations than that!

  3. tgoyer says:

I am pro-corporate. If you are anti-corporate, you can’t whine about job loss. Who do you think makes these jobs, you idiot? Not Obama. Businesses are the ones that employ people.

  4. creativebuzz says:

WRONG, WRONG! the Tea Party is funded by our own blood, sweat and tears. This so called President of ours wants to punish hard work and success, and at the same time ENABLE LAZINESS! Laziness encouraged by union thugs. DON’T SPREAD MY HARD EARNED INCOME… SPREAD MY WORK ETHIC. You whack job Libs simply have no concept about fundamental economics. And by the looks of it… you’re a union slacker. Not being held accountable for your production or should I say “Lack of Production”?

  5. jaimondrow says:

Yes he was. Read the books instead of watching the movies. Check wikipedia.

  6. creativebuzz says:

With everything going on with this economy and with politics in general… Paul Ryan is such a breath of fresh air. I don’t care what side of the aisle you’re on… if you can’t see his logic and common sense, you’re just lost, or too far left to grasp his simple plan. He speaks only of what’s best to get us out of this horrible economy this current administration has put us in. Please pass this link to everyone you know. The main stream media will never air such common sense,

  7. jaimondrow says:

dude, google his ‘roadmap’ thing. What your saying isn’t part of his plan.
SS and Medicare will be gone by the time I’m of age without these changes. I’m fine with taxing the ‘super rich’ but no one thinks that is enough to close the budget gap and we’d need massive exceptions for businesses to not cripple the economy.
Gawd… I’m sick of you old people passing off your bills onto my generation.

  8. IWLocal8 says:

LMAO Do your own homework – Google Americans For Prosperity and Tea Party. Let me know what you find. You want to talk fundamental economics? How about explaining to me how Dubya took Clinton’s surplus and turned it into the largest deficit in recorded history? That’s CONservative?LOL
Dubya took a new Cadillac poured gas/lit it and drove it into a brick wall.He then tossed the keys to Obama and told him to “drive safe”.GET A CLUE

  9. IWLocal8 says:

Well BP is creating jobs in the Gulf right now – great logic. /sarcasm

  10. IWLocal8 says:

Tried to send you multiple links – you have your account “friendlocked”Google “Americans for Prosperity and Tea Party”.Then you can come back and admit that you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about.

  11. IWLocal8 says:

It IS part of his plan but I don’t blame him for not putting it in his road map because it’s a Paul Ryan detour leading into a dead end.
Dubya created this financial mess and it’ll be a while before 8 years of elephant poop get cleaned up.
Are you also sick of “us old people” who fought in wars to keep the US free? Sheesh!
SS and Medicare WILL be gone if people like Ryan have their way.

  12. Eugorable says:

That’s okay, I’ve read all the books. If you haven’t read them all, I don’t want to ruin it for you. Read Debt of Honor (which sets the stage) followed by Executive Orders. Executive Orders has the best ending of just about any book I have ever read. I had to read it a couple times. Rainbow Six was also a good ending.

  13. Eugorable says:

I agree, sadly, it seems that too many Americans are too self-centered to worry about their children and grandchildren. They would rather vote based on a nice-sounding lie than the painful truth.

  14. IWLocal8 says:

Haven’t read them all, but, on this I’ll take your word. I just know that he was the agent in earlier books. Thank you for the correction – thought you might have had the characters mixed up.

  15. Eugorable says:

Jack Ryan was a CIA analyst, not a field agent, like John Clark. He was promoted to Deputy Director of Intelligence, then National Security Advisor, then VP, then something happened to put him in the Oval Office. Great reads.

  16. Ecosse57 says:

    ryan for president.

not just because he has the right idea but because he is courageous and ethical.

  17. Vunks2000 says:

You do realize that Clintion was in a bubble right?

  18. napoleonseven says:

    Good politician. Goofy grin.

  19. zepproxx says:

Yes it sure does. Every time the guy speaks I like him more and more. We need to get behind this guy. Search him on facebook “pal ryan for president”. Over 13,000 like him for president. Can you imagine him in the debates? Game over! He would win the election!

  20. IWLocal8 says:

LOL Social Security has NOTHING to do with the deficit! Just because Ryan might be able to convince his sheeple, there’s enough of us to keep him out of the White House.

  21. DoubleZebras says:

I live in Wausau, WI, but I was able to talk my brother who lives in Kenosha (Which is Paul’s District) into 100% support…We Love you Mr. Ryan

  22. adrienneprincipe says:

    Paul Ryan for President!

  23. GOPkicksbutt says:

The ONLY way to bring jobs back to America is to lower the minimum wage to $2/hr.
This is the only way we can compete with China. Paul Ryan and my fellow republicans need to act on this now. Employers also should not have to carry the burdern of paying for health care either. Go get em Paul!

  24. Meade556 says:

Yes as I spit it out with disgust. He isn’t very popular in his own constituency. He got booed.

  25. poindexterwitkowsky says:

“Hey Republican PAUL RYAN…Remember the scene in ANIMAL HOUSE where OTTER says to FLOUNDER, “Y ou f____ed up….You trusted us!”Well you are FLOUNDER & OTTER represents your institutionalized REPUBLICAN buddies. When your plan to DESTROY MEDICARE(class warfare) runs it’s course & your GOP buddies admit it was always a bad idea, YOU, PAULIE, will be made to take the fall. So take my advise. Stash your CORPORATE DONATIONS. Accept one of those lucrative lobbying jobs & “start drinking heavily.”
